This research engaged with individuals and groups who are actively involved with te reo Māori revitalisation and regeneration. It aimed to identify their particular research/knowledge needs, interests and priorities in relation to te reo Māori regeneration and revitalisation, as well as their current research activities and access to resources.

The findings from this project will inform the development of a National Research Agenda for the regeneration and revitalisation of te reo Māori.

Te tūtohu rangahau ā-motu mō te whakatupu me te whakapakari ake i te reo Māori

I whātoro atu tēnei rangahau ki ngā tāngata takitahi me ngā rōpū e kaha rawa nei te mahi i te ao whakaora, whakawhanake hoki i te reo Māori.  Ko tōna whāinga nui he tautuhi i ō rātou hiahia rangahau, mātauranga hoki, ō rātou aronga nui, whāinga mātāmua hoki mō te whakaora me te whakawhanake i te reo Māori, tae atu ki ā rātou mahi rangahau o nāianei, me te wātea mai o ngā rauemi ki a rātou.

Mā ngā kitenga o tēnei kaupapa e arataki te whanaketanga o tētahi Rārangi Mahi Rangahau ā-Motu mō te whakaoranga me te whakamāuitanga o te Reo Māori.

Methodology

The research is positioned within a Kaupapa Māori research methodological approach.
