The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) is responsible for the regulation of gambling in New Zealand so that it is safe, fair, legal and honest. Stakeholders in gambling regulation comprise a diverse range of organisations and individuals. As a responsible regulator, DIA is interested in understanding stakeholder views on their experience engaging and communicating with DIA in relation to gambling compliance. The annual survey of stakeholders in gambling regulation is designed to measure satisfaction levels with DIA’s engagement and communication as well as the perception within the Gambling Sector of DIA as an effective regulator of the Sector. This survey has been conducted annually since 2009.
