This study looks at young peoples attendance at, participation in, and attitudes towards the arts. The 2017 research study uses a mixed-methods approach, including an online survey and a series of short face-to-face interviews with 751 young people (10-14 year olds). This report outlines the findings of the 2017 sample. It provides a brief outline of the methods, and summarises the key findings.
This research is part of a wider study that focuses on New Zealanders participation it the arts. The study is repeated every three years.
